Security & Responsibility Policy

The security and protection of our suppliers and drivers is a top priority for SiCarro.

This policy explains how we protect users throughout the rental process and clearly defines the responsibilities of each party.

1. Supplier Protection

1.1 Digital Affiliation Contract

Every rental is formalised through a digital contract that specifies:

  • The rental conditions
  • The responsibilities of the driver
  • The vehicle condition before pickup
  • The expected condition at return

1.2 Mandatory Vehicle Inspections

To prevent disputes and ensure transparency:

  • The supplier must upload clear photos of the vehicle before delivering it to the driver
  • The supplier must upload clear photos again after the vehicle is returned
  • These photos are used as official proof of the vehicle's condition

1.3 Payment Authorization

Instead of a traditional deposit, SiCarro uses a secure authorization system:

  • Your payment method is securely tokenized at the time of booking
  • No deposit is charged upfront - you only pay for the rental
  • After the rental, if there are damages, missing fuel, special cleaning, or traffic fines, SiCarro may charge up to USD $200.00 (or the amount specified in the contract)
  • You will always be notified with evidence before any post-rental charge is made
  • This authorization protects both drivers and suppliers while avoiding the inconvenience of deposit holds and refunds

2. Driver Responsibility

The driver is fully responsible for the vehicle from the moment they receive it until they return it.

The driver is responsible for:

  • Any damage caused during the rental
  • Any mechanical damage resulting from misuse
  • Traffic fines, parking violations, or other legal sanctions
  • Loss or theft of vehicle parts, accessories, or equipment
  • Returning the vehicle in the same condition as received

2.1 Total or Partial Theft

In case of total or partial theft of the vehicle:

  • The driver must immediately report the incident to local authorities
  • The driver must immediately notify the SiCarro team
  • The insurance (when applicable) will handle the claim
  • The driver remains responsible according to contract terms

3. Insurance

3.1 Optional Complementary Insurance

SiCarro is working with local insurance partners to offer optional additional coverage for both drivers and suppliers. This may include:

  • Extra protection against damage
  • Additional liability coverage
  • Enhanced peace of mind

3.2 Supplier's Mandatory Insurance

Suppliers must always maintain legally required insurance for their vehicles.

4. Platform Security Measures

4.1 Identity Verification

To ensure safety and reliability:

  • All users must provide a valid driver's license
  • Identities are verified before account activation
  • Only verified users may make a reservation

4.2 Fraud Prevention

SiCarro uses automated tools to detect fraudulent activity and suspicious behavior.

4.3 Reviews & History

  • Suppliers can view a driver's rental history and reviews
  • Drivers can view supplier ratings
  • This creates a transparent and trustworthy community

5. Dispute Resolution Process

5.1 Reporting a Problem

If damage or an incident occurs:

  • The supplier must report the issue within 48 hours
  • Photos and evidence must be provided
  • SiCarro will review the case and facilitate communication

5.2 Mediation

SiCarro acts as a neutral mediator between supplier and driver to resolve disputes fairly and efficiently.

6. Limitation of Liability – SiCarro

SiCarro is not the owner of any vehicle and does not participate in the driving, physical rental, or delivery of vehicles.

SiCarro acts solely as a digital intermediary between suppliers and drivers.

For this reason, SiCarro is not responsible for:

  • Any traffic accident or collision
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or unsafe behavior
  • Reckless, negligent, or improper use of the vehicle
  • Injuries, damages, or losses involving third parties
  • Damage, theft, or loss of the vehicle
  • Mechanical issues or the condition of the car
  • Legal, civil, or criminal consequences related to the driver's actions

All liability in case of an accident, incident, or misuse falls exclusively on:

  • The driver, for their conduct and proper use of the vehicle
  • The supplier, for the vehicle's condition and compliance
  • The insurance provider, according to applicable policies

By using SiCarro, all users agree that SiCarro does not assume any legal, financial, or civil liability resulting from the use of rented vehicles.
