Adding a car on SiCarro is a two-step process: first, you create a basic listing with essential information. Then, you complete the full details to make your car ready for renters. Let's get started!

Step 1: Access Your Supplier Dashboard

First, you need to be logged into your verified supplier account.

How to Get There

1. Visit sicarro.com/bo/create-car
2. Make sure you're logged in to your supplier account
3. You'll see the "Add New Car" form

Note: If you haven't completed your supplier verification yet, you'll need to finish that first before adding vehicles.

Step 2: Fill Out the Basic Information Form

The first form is intentionally simple and quick — it takes just 5-10 minutes to complete. This registers your vehicle in the system with essential details only.

Basic Information Section

• Car image (optional): You can add a preview photo now or skip it and add photos later during editing
• Car name: Enter a clear name like "Toyota Corolla 2022" or "Honda CR-V 2020"
• Supplier: This field auto-fills with your supplier account name
• Location: Enter where the car will be available for pickup (your address or a meeting point)
• Airport pickup available: Check this box if you can deliver the car to the airport for pickups

Pricing Section

• Daily price ($): How much you charge per day (research similar cars in your area for competitive pricing)
  • Economy cars: typically $25-$40/day
  • SUVs: typically $50-$80/day
  • Luxury vehicles: $100+/day
• Deposit ($): Security deposit amount (usually $100-$500 depending on vehicle value)

• Engine type: Select one

• Year: Select your vehicle's model year (1940-2026)

  • Like for Like: Renter returns car with same fuel level as pickup
  • Full to Full: Car is provided full; renter must return it full

Create Your Car

Once you've filled in all the basic fields, click the "Create Car" button at the bottom of the form.

✅ Success! Your vehicle is now registered in the system.

Step 3: Your Car is Saved (But Not Public Yet)

After clicking "Create Car," your vehicle appears in your supplier dashboard under the "Cars" section.

Important to know:

• ✅ Your car is saved in your account
• ❌ Your car is NOT visible to renters yet
• ⚠️ It is incomplete and needs additional information
• 📝 You must complete the editing phase before verification

Think of this as creating a "draft" of your listing. Now you need to complete the full details to make it ready for renters!

Step 4: Edit Your Car to Complete the Listing

Now comes the most important part — completing your listing with all the details renters need to make a booking decision.

How to Edit Your Car

1. Go to your supplier dashboard
2. Navigate to the "Cars" section
3. Find your newly created vehicle in the list
4. Click the "Edit" button on that vehicle
5. You'll see the complete vehicle form with many more fields

What You Need to Complete During Editing

1. Detailed Description

Write a compelling description that highlights your car's best features:

• What makes your car special?
• Mention comfort features (leather seats, AC, spacious trunk)
• Highlight technology (Bluetooth, GPS, backup camera)
• Describe condition and maintenance (well-maintained, recently serviced)
• Mention ideal uses (family trips, beach visits, city driving)

Example: "Perfect for exploring El Salvador! This reliable 2022 Toyota Corolla features automatic transmission, ice-cold air conditioning, and excellent fuel economy. Ideal for couples or small families visiting San Salvador, the beaches, or mountain towns. Recently serviced and always clean."

2. Photos (Minimum 5 Required) ⭐

This is the most important part! Great photos can increase your bookings by 60% or more.

Required photos:

• Exterior shots:
  • Front view (centered, straight-on)
  • Rear view
  • Driver side (full profile)
  • Passenger side (full profile)
  • Front 3/4 angle (this will be your main photo)
  • Rear 3/4 angle
• Interior shots:
  • Dashboard and steering wheel
  • Front seats
  • Rear seats
  • Trunk/cargo space

Photo tips for success:

• ✅ Clean your car thoroughly before taking photos
• ✅ Take photos in natural daylight (morning or late afternoon)

• ✅ Make sure photos are clear and in focus

• ❌ Don't use photos from the internet or other listings
• ❌ Remove personal items from the car first

3. Insurance Proof (Mandatory) ⚠️

CRITICAL: No car can be listed without valid insurance. This is absolutely mandatory.

• Upload a clear photo or PDF of your insurance policy
• Insurance must be active (not expired)
• Policy must show the specific vehicle (by VIN or license plate)
• Must include liability coverage at minimum

4. Vehicle Registration (Tarjeta de Circulación)

• Upload a clear photo of your vehicle's tarjeta de circulación
• Must be current and valid
• Should be in your name (or provide owner authorization if not)

5. Ownership Proof

• If the vehicle is in your name, upload title or purchase documents
• If you're renting someone else's car, upload written authorization from the owner
• If financed, you may need lender permission

6. Availability Calendar

• Set which dates your car is available for rent
• Block dates when you need the vehicle
• Set minimum advance notice (e.g., 2 hours, 1 day)
• Define minimum and maximum rental periods

7. Additional Features

Select all features your car offers (more features = more bookings!):

Once you submit your complete listing, the SiCarro operations team manually reviews everything to ensure quality and safety.

Verification Timeline

• Identity and basic checks: Within 24 hours
• Vehicle and insurance review: 1-3 business days
• Total approval time: Typically 2-5 business days

Verification Status

You can check your verification status in your supplier dashboard:

• ⏳ Under Review: Our team is reviewing your submission
• ⚠️ Needs Attention: Additional information or corrections required
• ✅ Approved: Your car is now live and visible to renters!

If Verification is Delayed

Common reasons for delays:

• Poor quality or missing photos
• Expired or unclear insurance documents

If your documents are rejected, you'll receive an email explaining what needs to be fixed. Simply update the information and resubmit for review.
